Greythorn Community Hub
North Balwyn, Victoria
Greythorn Community Hub is a flagship community centre in the City of Boroondara that provides essential community services run by different organisations under the one roof. This includes Council, not-for-profits and commercial organisations.
The project’s methodology and processes including hardware, design, content types and support processes are now being evaluated as to whether they are suitable for other venues across Boroondara, such as libraries and town halls.
Recruiting specialist resources, adopting an agile methodology and excellent communication across an interdisciplinary team allowed the project to be completed on time and to exceed business expectations.
The project operated within the confines of a short and immovable timeline, with hardware limitations and a lack of precedent for both the technology solution and the new type of community centre.
Along with two digital signage, I also designed a digital signage without interactivity. This screen located at library lounge. We decided to design a screen with sliding images and content. The screen is mostly static to cause minimum disruption to the library user. It was a challenge of the screen to be located at the library, aiming to provide important information in a subtle way.
