Community Project on Map

I undertook a significant UI project for Melton City Council, focusing on enhancing user experience in locating and booking community center facilities. The project aimed to streamline the process for users seeking community centers, allowing them to easily find these facilities on a map interface. The addition of a user-friendly booking system further empowered residents to reserve rooms at these centers seamlessly. Through thoughtful design considerations and intuitive features, the UI improvements not only facilitated efficient navigation but also contributed to fostering community engagement by providing residents with a convenient tool to access and utilize local resources.

UI Iterations

Following numerous design iterations, I crafted prototypes and engaged with stakeholders at Melton City Council. The stakeholders expressed enthusiasm for the designs, greenlighting the project for development. To facilitate a smooth transition, I prepared comprehensive handover documents for the developers, ensuring that the envisioned UI improvements could be effectively translated into a functional and user-friendly digital solution.

Project management

As developers commenced work on the project, I implemented an agile project management approach using a Trello board to ensure efficient coordination and progress tracking. This agile methodology facilitated timely development, allowing the project to advance smoothly and meet established timelines. The Trello board served as a collaborative tool, streamlining communication and providing transparency throughout the development process.
